Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.D. Bowen felt he kept straight and did not contribute to the incident. C.J. McRedmond stated that he had to take a check when running tight for room. B.M. Coen stated that his filly was leaning away from the horse on its outside. R.P. Whelan stated that he was conscious of the horses on his outside but kept a straight line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action
G.M. Ryan, rider of Von Krolock, trained by Timothy Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the home straight
