Curragh Thu, 12th Oct, 2023  Dutch Gold It wasn't the plan to be as handy but they went slow and he just jumped so quick. I think he is a good horse. He won very easy in the North. On his next run at Navan, the reins broke and he was never able to get into the race. Last time at Leopardstown, the stupid trainer ran him over too far! . I gelded him after that. The plan has always been to go jumping and he has schooled well. He is owned by a jumping man; his owner has Jeff Kidder. He is entered on Sunday in a three-year-old handicap and I'd say it's quite possible he could run.

Dundalk Fri, 22nd Sep, 2023  Nikki Swango She did it quite nicely and she has been in good form since her last race at the Curragh. Unfortunately in the Curragh the ground went a bit against her - over six and a-half furlongs on softish ground did stretch her a bit. The showers prior to the race ruined her chance. It is a filly that keeps improving and has a lovely attitude and is very laid-back at home. She does everything very nicely in her work. It is a filly that could possibly pick up some black-type here in Ireland. She would need fast ground and we might look for a Listed race here.

Curragh Sun, 13th Aug, 2023  Goldmoyne He has a lot of ability but he's fairly headstrong. If he did things right I was hoping he'd have a chance,. He needs to mature and behave himself a bit better. If we can get him to do things right he's well handicapped. He was a handful before the race and I thought he was after boiling over and he was very keen with Sean early in the race. He's very tough, when they come to him he does find. He was going away again at the line. If we could get him to behave himself and do things right he should progress. It's hard to bowl along and keep it up here. I like him, I think he's a nice horse. We were very lucky to get in here today as he was 21 on the ballot and they increased the number from 16 on Friday morning to 25. Only for that we wouldn't have gotten in. I thought this place would suit as he has a high cruising speed. There are very few races for a lowly rated three-year-old so I was delighted to get in today and he showed what he can do.

Gowran Park Sat, 29th Jul, 2023  Red Trail At the furlong pole I thought we had no chance, passing the line I thought we were up, but then when they showed the slow-mo, I didn't. She's a lovely filly. She won two last year and it looked like she'd come on for that but we went hurdling, and she ran very well one day but the last couple of runs were a bit below par. Coming today she looked great and seemed to be in great form, she seemed back to herself. What the difference was I'm not really sure. I thought we had a chance coming and told the owner we were in trouble if we didn't run well today, luckily she did. She's a good, tough mare, I'll have a chat with the owner now and see. Hopefully, there will be another day with her on the Flat and she'll go back hurdling at some stage.
