Quotes on Palace Rock (IRE)
On another day he might have won the last day and to win is great. I didn't know if he'd go on the heavy ground but it wasn't as heavy and was tacky, although his mother wanted it bottomless. I thought the world of this horse and always thought he was my best horse but the other horse (Max Flamingo) seems to be better. He had been frustrating but works very well and has shown it now. He doesn't go right-handed and even today he needed a rail. He could come back here or otherwise go to Aintree. After Palace Rock (IRE) finished 1st at Naas on Sun, 27th Feb 2022 1m 7f Hcap Hurdle Soft to Heavy

Quotes on Golden Temple (IRE)
When we started with him as a two-year-old we thought he was the best two-year-old we had. He's bred to be a sprinter. In fairness to Robbie Colgan he rode him one day in Fairyhouse over a mile-and-a-half and rode him like that and just got touched off. He probably was a bit weaker last year than he is now. He belonged to Paul and Patricia Hunt and at the end of the year a few of them had to go as Paul had passed on. Albert (Dravins) asked me if there was anything worth buying and we always felt he was some good and that he could win a race somewhere. He jumps very well and he has improved. He stays very well. He keeps at it and I told Jamie if he was going well he was going too slow because he'd need to get the rest of them off the bridle and at it because he just keeps galloping. If you waited for them they'd go past him. I watched the race with Paul Flynn (trainer of runner-up The Truant) and Paul beating me and I was beating him, it was very funny. His owner's partner passed away last year and they are having a charity golf day and they are all over at that. I'm sure they are watching on TV. He's probably a horse for the two-mile-five race on the Saturday at Galway. We'll have to stay at two miles whatever we do on the Flat. After Golden Temple (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Fri, 28th Jun 2024 2m Flat Hcap Good

Quotes on Farmers Lodge (IRE)
It doesn't always work but he was 130 over fences and won his beginners chase here. He's had a few issues and hasn't been straightforward to train. If you go back and look at his two runs in Thurles, he was fourth to Daddy Long Legs and Asian Master. 113 looked a nice mark over hurdles but it doesn't always work out. We schooled him during the week and he wasn't spending any time in the air, he was very slick. We have options and we'll probably keep him over hurdles for the time being. He's obviously going to go up for that. He won his beginners on heavy ground and is after winning there on good ground so he seems to be ground versatile. He was working well at home. It was a one horse market but when they are off the track for that long it's very pleasing to see him go and do it. I'm not sure if there is anything for him in Leopardstown but we'll find somewhere for him. After Farmers Lodge (IRE) finished 1st at Fairyhouse on Sat, 30th Nov 2024 2m 4f Hcap Hurdle Yielding

Quotes on Little Mixup (IRE)
I thought the handicapper had this lad and I asked him to drop the horse a pound to get him into a 0-116, but it looks like he was right. The race cut up though - the favourite tipped up and it probably wasn't the strongest race. He is game, Mark (McDonagh) gave him a lovely ride and thanks to the McDonaghs who support me well and Lorraine (Mark McDonagh's mother) looks after the horses when they return home on breaks. I have to thank all the owners who all stood by me (during the suspension) as it was a tough end to the year. It was messy and I advised owners to send horses here and there, and thankfully I got them back. . My horses have been running ok, but I have been running a lot of ordinary ones too so we're thinning them out now. We are very busy, I have a lot of youngsters of my own which I hope to sell and have 15 point-to-pointers. I have a bunch of yearlings too, so hopefully we'll drive on now. After Little Mixup (IRE) finished 1st at Thurles on Sun, 21st Jan 2024 1m 7f Hcap Hurdle Soft

Quotes on Stormbreaker (GB)
I thought Paul was on the right horse but having looked at the finish, I think Brian (Hayes, on Mr Escobar) was a little unlucky. The third-horse (Boston Beach) came and softened Mr Escobar up turning-for-home and more so, Mr Escobar is a tough ride and having no rail today and only 'island' hurdles was a big disadvantage to him. I think he might have prevailed if there was a rail the whole way up the straight but Brian couldn't really let him down as he was afraid that he might run out. Stormbreaker has had niggles, not much, and we're only teaching him how to settle now. Mr Escobar could go back on the flat. After Stormbreaker (GB) finished 1st at Listowel on Fri, 27th Sep 2024 2m 2f Maiden Hurdle Soft

Quotes on Your Honor (IRE)
He was so impressive here on similar ground (in March) and was then a bit disappointing over the summer. It was a fairly obvious race to come back here, and a super prize limited to four-year-olds. It’s great when it works out! I suppose he’ll have to go to one of the Festivals after that. He’s a fantastic jumper and obviously loves that ground. Quotes on Ballywilliam Boy (IRE)
I had disease in my hay and couldn't understand how he got beaten at Limerick. He was cruising turning-in at Limerick, like today, but didn't get home. He'll probably go to Mallow for a Grade 3 novice hurdle at the weekend. Today's race was like a piece of work and he'll go on any ground. My owner is anxious to go chasing but I don't know if that'll happen because he is a novice hurdler until the end of November. We could go chasing in December, or later, maybe next season. I should probably keep his for chasing next season. After Ballywilliam Boy (IRE) finished 1st at Galway on Sun, 24th Oct 2021 2m 4f Hurdle Soft to Heavy

Quotes on O'Toole (IRE)
He has probably grown, he's a wee bit bigger and stronger. Sure, we had to start somewhere and that was an ideal race to start on our doorstep. He's just a big, laidback, easy-going horse. We will just try and place him sensibly over hurdles this year. I really can't wait to jump fences with him but we'll not get too far ahead of ourselves. He will come on plenty for that and the further he goes the better he will be. He has a great temperament, in so far as he is laidback, so you can probably put him where you want to in a race. He had plenty of schooling done to go point-to-pointing and he is not a natural hurdler as he is probably a big clean jumper. I would be hoping I'd be here talking to you after the (Grade 1) James Nicholson one day. We will all meet up and talk about where he might end up in the spring. We know he will handle better ground but he needs a bit of experience as well. I'd imagine we will not be over-racing him this season. He will want a step up in trip in a higher grade. In the lower grade of race, probably the trip is not as important. When we start taking on the better horses we probably will step up in trip. He's in a handful of the most exciting horses certainly in Ireland this winter. He's a proper Gold Cup type of horse, I hope. He's a big staying chaser. He's not a slow horse and he will furnish more for another summer. He is improving all the time. We don't want to get to the bottom of him this season. He's still a big baby really. Quotes on Semblance Of Order (IRE)
he’s a good horse on the flat but started acting the monkey at stalls. We were going to step him up in trip at that stage and then schooled him over hurdles and he jumps well. He was a bit novicey at the first few and Sam gave him a super ride. We thought if we could get to the last and then go forward as he wouldn’t do any more than he has to in front. He’s had a couple of schooling days and hopefully there is plenty of improvement. There is a race at Fairyhouse in a couple of weeks but it might come a bit soon and Christmas might be the next stepping stone. He’s very clean winded and settles well. Quotes on Typical Thomas (IRE)
It is nice to have one to come and race in the big race on a Sunday and it is brilliant to win,. . Mark said there was likely to be plenty of pace in the race so I said to him to bounce out and go with them. He has a tendency to jump left so Mark's plan was to get out to the outer. He made plenty use of his light weight. He was very lucky to win in Kilbeggan when he would have finished third or fourth only for two horses to fall and was then unlucky at Downpatrick when he jumped violently left at the second-last. It is great he got his day today. This season has went unbelievably well, this is our biggest win and the horses are running to their ability. We have 18 riding out and we're tipping away thank God. All winners help but the big winners will hopefully put us in the shop window. Quotes on Away To Milan (IRE)
I felt I was getting good at training horses to finish second! Coming down here tonight I thought this lad had a decent chance. He made two mistakes the last day and tonight looked like a lesser contest really. I'll probably give him a break now for a month as he is a big raw five-year-old. He won nicely and it's great to get a winner. I had a second in the last race and another one last night at Ballinrobe and you'd be wondering what you had done wrong. The horses are flying though, and that's my third winner of the season. The track have done an amazing job here. I was disappointed to hear some of my comrades not happy with over watering. I think you can't water enough and on a night when it's drying out you have to err on the side of caution. Everyone is putting in a lot of work at the moment to have it safe. All of ours have come home safe this season and I think that's wonderful, so long may it last. Quotes on Baltinglass Hill (IRE)
He was very unlucky to get beat in Navan where it looked like he had it well won and made a mistake at the last. His jumping won the race in Killarney under a brilliant ride from Rachael Blackmore, and Darragh (O’Keeffe) was equally good on him this evening. He’s only a four-year-old but he’s growing up and learning his trade. He hasn’t won by far and hopefully won’t get a massive penalty and we’ll find another handicap for him. I thought the ground had gone (too soft) for him but when I came here I couldn’t believe my luck. Jim Guilfoyle (owner) has been with me for years and we’ve had loads of winners together and he’s a fantastic supporter. After Baltinglass Hill (IRE) finished 1st at Ballinrobe on Mon, 9th Aug 2021 2m Hcap Hurdle Good
