Gowran Park Fri, 29th Sep, 2023  Magical Zoe It looked like she got a bit tired. Adrian said she took a little blow after she hit the front and hopefully she will improve. We want to try and go two and a half again and see. There is a mares race in Punchestown on the Morgiana weekend that we may aim towards and see how we get on. We need to see with regards to the spring that we do stay or not. Another option is she could go to Down Royal and run over two miles against the geldings and we could then go for the two and a half miles mares race at Leopardstown over Christmas. I’m delighted and it’s a great start.

Sligo Wed, 27th Sep, 2023  Shantou Sisu He's a very good horse in his own class and Danny's ridden him four winners for us. We need a rub of the green an odd time!

Downpatrick Fri, 15th Sep, 2023  Morricone Unfortunately he slipped up in Limerick last year. We always thought he was a nice horse and he had a lot of time off. Hopefully the way he is improving now, he might fulfil some of the early potential we would have hoped he would have had. Definitely (travelled well on the soft ground), it went slower in Tramore the last day so I wasn't too worried about the rain. He'll handle slow ground through the winter, but I don't think it is that bad out there. Maybe when you are riding the winner it is a bit easier!. I'm delighted for a good friend of mine, Kieran Stokes, it is the first winner in his colours so it meant a lot to me to ride a winner for him.

Killarney Fri, 25th Aug, 2023  Good As Hell She has won again so it's grand and for some reason she isn't as good going right-handed. She would have been Brian's (Hayes) ride only he chose to go to Kilbeggan and Niall was able to claim 7lb. There's a mares' handicap hurdle at Listowel where she is only rated 109 so that's the attraction. There may be a reason she is that bit better over fences than hurdles but we'll have one go over hurdles.

Tipperary Tue, 4th Jul, 2023  Good As Hell That was compensation for her last run, it's great to get a win and she likes it around here. We were panicking a bit as going left-handed suits her and Killarney, even though it is left-handed, wasn't an option as it can often be quicker there than most places. We were guaranteed safe ground here. She is a great servant and hopefully can progress. We're only learning about her best trip, she'll have a mini-break now and hopefully will turn up in Listowel.

Kilbeggan Mon, 19th Jun, 2023  Minella Mate He's tough, he's a Shantou and they keep battling,. He gave him a great ride and he stuck at it. He had good runs and we always said he was a good horse. He got a knocked a little when we schooled him and we just had to take our time with him. He had a good run in Gowran the first day behind a Grade 1 horse. I think he'll be grand. He has a little mark on him, but he's grand. If he's not sold sure it's grand to get a day out with one too. We loaded up whoever was around in the hotel at 4.30am and came on here. The horses are going well thank God.
