Tipperary Fri, 22nd Nov, 2024  Shraheen I suppose he went the scenic route but not getting penalised for Kilbeggan was a help as it turned out. He is a lovely big horse with a great attitude and a lovely way of going and jumps very well. You'd say he'll jump fences in time and is from a great family.

Wexford Sun, 27th Oct, 2024  Glens Lullaby I thought she was a very good filly last year but she was a weak four-year-old. I was kicking myself at the end of the season as I overfaced her a little bit. I have no doubt that she will be a black-type filly over hurdles, she is beautifully bred and it's great for Fiona. . She'll go on over hurdles now and keep going all through the winter. She is no way ground dependent and fingers crossed that, if we get a clear run with her, she'll be a right good hurdler. . She ran two great races on her first two runs, then she was fourth at Navan and missed out on the black type. We threw her in at the deep end at Leopardstown and my horses probably weren't bombing it at the time. In fairness to Fiona she has stuck by me and we'll drive on now.  . They just carted a bit for the first furlong and she ended up in front. Finny gave her a great ride and she won with plenty in hand. We'll give her a few weeks now and then make a plan.

Listowel Fri, 27th Sep, 2024  Mount Ferns I really fancied this horse as his work at home has been exceptional. We bought him during the summer from Emma Lavelle's, left him off for a while and in the last few weeks his work had been really really good. I'd have been disappointed if he had been beaten. I told Sean to ride him with full confidence although he is such an experienced rider there wasn't much point in Eric McNamara telling Sean Flanagan how to ride in a handicap hurdle. I love this place, know a lot of people here and have friends here, so I'm getting a good kick out of this week.

Kilbeggan Sat, 10th Aug, 2024  Kevin's Pride I'm with John now having been with Gavin Cromwell, who was good to me, and gave me as many opportunities as he could. Time will tell how good a bumper it was but his work had told us he was very nice. He's a massive chaser in the making and to win a bumper is a bonus. The owners are from Ashbourne and have been very patient as he was one of the horses most effected by rape-seed last May. He could be sold but I don't know what the lads will do as they're in shock. He'll go on soft ground as well as his wind is very good.

Wexford Fri, 9th Aug, 2024  Inchiquin Star We were hopeful today. She has been a bit unlucky on her last couple of runs. She ran well at Tipperary but just took some kind of false step after the last. She done well to stay standing after that and lost all momentum. She is a real consistent filly and I think she is probably good enough to win on the Flat too. She is a grand fun mare for the summer and can mix it between both codes. She likes nicer ground. . She will probably go back to Tramore now. There is a race on the Flat and a race over hurdles for her there and she'll go for one or the other.

Wexford Sat, 13th Jul, 2024  Field A Thistles She deserved that. She runs well everyday and had a lovely run over hurdles the last day at Limerick. It's lovely to pick up the bonus today as well. We weren't sure whether we were doing the right thing coming back for a bumper but she came up trumps and it's great. We were just wondering was she good enough to win a bumper because they are very competitive. The bonus (Weatherbys ITBA National Hunt Fillies Bonus Scheme) keeps bringing you back and they are great. She'll go back over hurdles now and we'll see, but she might go to Galway. I'll talk to the boys (Lorcan Cribbin and Kieran Leavy) and we'll let her tell us.
