Navan Sat, 7th Sep, 2024  Struck By Churchil I was surprised she was the price she was. She did win a four-year-old maiden hurdle in Wexford. I know she was second favourite, but she was 8/1 most of the day. I know it was a competitive race, but she won well. She looks like she will get another chance in one of these again, so we will try and pick up another one. We might have a go at the four-year-old Listed handicap in Listowel, the Lartigue. It looks like she might scrape in off bottom weight. We definitely will have another go at a '65'. Hopefully, she can win another one.

Roscommon Tue, 20th Aug, 2024  J'adore Chris she had two good runs and I'd say she didn't quite stay running over slightly further in Killarney last time. We gave her a few weeks just to freshen up and this race presented itself. It looked like the right spot for her and we're delighted she won. Billy said that extended seven (furlongs) is as far as she wants to go for now. We could look at a winners' race or may look at the Ingabelle on Champions Weekend. I think we might take the hood off her the next day, she knows how to race. She is qualified for the Foran final as well.

Galway Mon, 29th Jul, 2024  Kentucky Gal I expected it and I think there is more to come again. I was amazed when she won over seven furlongs back in Gowran. Then she learned a good bit in the Curragh, it was her first day to race over a distance. Amazingly for one of mine I would imagine she's going to improve a good bit again on fast ground. There was a good cut in that ground. I'm really looking forward to next year, I think we might be getting up to where I only dream about at times. She's a big improver. She'll get another run, probably on fast ground, but we won't be hard on her this year. Three months ago she was too weak to even do fast work. She's really only coming and I'm just hoping she might be special. If the ground was fast for Champions Weekend we could look at that.

Navan Sat, 13th Jul, 2024  It'sonlyjustbegun In Roscommon she just missed the kick, she got upset in the stalls and missed the kick. Around there, she couldn't get into it. I'd love him (Kennedy) to win it (apprentice title) this year. Every time she hung a bit, he straightened her up. He's very good and he is a lovely lad. Shane (Foley) hits him over the head practically every morning!. I'll see where we go, but she will step up in class a bit now. I think she will get a mile and a-half. She's a very big filly and I just think 'give her a bit of time'.

Leopardstown Thu, 20th Jun, 2024  Orchidaceae We came here hopeful after her run the last day at the Curragh. Everything went to plan, and Billy gave her a lovely ride. She’s a very forward going filly and loves that good ground. You would like to think that she could step up in grade. She has enough speed for six and she gets the seven, so it gives us a few possibilities. She could come back here for the Silver Flash.

Gowran Park Sun, 16th Jun, 2024  Kentucky Gal It was a surprise, obviously the good groundbrought improvement but I was still surprised,. I thought that she was a mile plus mare and maybe she still is. I'm hoping to find a good bit more improvement. . I was surprised she could do that over seven but I had nowhere else to run her. She'll be stepped up in distance now and hopefully she'll step up in ability. . She's a fine big filly and is well-bred, she's out of a half-sister to Antonius Pius.

Punchestown Tue, 21st May, 2024  Noble Hilltop I'm delighted with that. She's a nice little mare,. She had bits and pieces of form when we bought her and we thought there was a little bit of improvement in her. A few of the boys from England thankfully got involved in her. We picked this race out as we thought she wanted two-and-a-half miles, she was staying on over two. We worked her a few times and Kieren said she definitely wanted a trip. She won, it doesn't often happen like that!. I've been here since last April, I was in England for 40 years. I was in Pipes for 20 odd years, both with Martin and David. I was there in the good old days of Carvill's Hill. I trained under my own name for a while in the early 90s. I had five winners from 50 runners and 45 of them weren't off! I only had a handful of runners. We started off here doing a bit of pre-training and breaking, there are lots of yards around Meath. Then I got the restricted licence and a couple of lads I know very kindly sent me a few horses. I'm based in Lee Valley near Ratoath, I rented a yard there off David Eiffe. We have a few youngsters and they all look great until you run them. We have a couple belonging to Jim Bolger, a nice juvenile that will run in July. I'm originally from Wexford hence the Jim Bolger connection. That was the first place I went to as a 15-year-old. He said he'd support me and fair play to him he did. He's always been good that way.

Killarney Tue, 14th May, 2024  Passionate She had her problems when she was in (Fozzy) Stack's, but Andrew (Slattery, jockey) liked her and recently she had been working well - although I didn't want to win six lengths!. She should have won in Gowran last Wednesday as she was tailed off coming down the hill, but ran on (in second) and I couldn't believe how she was beaten. She is also in at Leopardstown on Friday, but we'll have to see how she is.

Roscommon Mon, 13th May, 2024  Naval Force He was all over the shop. He's a big raw horse and he's never gone right-handed in his life so Gavin did well on him to be fair,. I'd say he only really knew what he was doing in the last furlong so he should improve plenty for that. It's nice to get a win into him first time out. The two options are probably either to go up to stakes company for staying three-year-old races or we'll look at his rating and we could look at one of the mile-and-a-half three-year-old handicaps at Ascot. There are plenty of options for him.
