An enquiry was held to consider the circumstances surrounding the start of this race.
The Starter and Clerk Of The Course were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
The Starter reported that there had been a malfunction with the starting tape mechanism, leading to an initial false start.
As a result of this permission was given for a flag start to be used on the second attempt, before the mechanism was replaced prior to the fourth race.
After hearing the evidence, a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Boston Boy (GB) which had run out at the second last hurdle.
A J O’Neill was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also ran out at the second last hurdle at Leicester on 18 November 2024, O’Neill was informed that any future similar behaviour from Boston Boy (GB) may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Harry Skelton reported that Mon Kaplais (FR), unplaced, slipped on the parade ring bend; and Gavin Sheehan reported that Realistic Optimism (IRE), placed fourth, slipped on the parade ring bend.
