Bellewstown Wed, 2nd Oct, 2024  Pimstrel She has form here before with the Faheys and she has a couple of great runs for Laura Hourigan. She was in season, that was my worry but she was in good old form this morning. I was hopeful without being confident. She had the ability to do it - it is just once everything was right. She got a good ride and the 7lb claim, so we got the pot and we are delighted. Rory is a great chap - I remember him pony racing and he was always very good. I know his dad for years. Since he has gone to Johnny Murtagh, he is tidying up and getting stronger. He judged that perfectly. I'm delighted to see him doing well. I had no hesitation in putting him up, he's a top one. She won't go to the all-weather, she might go again at the weekend on soft ground. Laura Hourigan offered me this horse and she offered me her again, and she promised me she would definitely do me a turn, so I have to say I owe Laura Hourigan a turn. She was dead on, she knows her job.

Clonmel Thu, 5th Sep, 2024  Barrogstown Girl Her form was good - we were a little worried about coming down to a tricky track, but she handled it well. She was down a bit in distance, but we know she is a fairly sharp filly and were happy with her. She is doing job well and Neve gave her a very cool ride. She is owned and bred by my brother Michael and it is great they he is here as he was on holidays the last day she won.

Sligo Thu, 8th Aug, 2024  Drumgill He got a bit of confidence after winning the last day and just got away with the ground, he probably wouldn't want it any softer than that. . He was probably getting a bit lonesome in front. It helped that I didn't get bumped around, I got things easy so I was able to ride the race how I liked. It's a family operation and everyone contributes. It's not easy to produce winners of these kind of races on a regular basis, it takes a lot of doing and you have to work hard. We have good facilities, a variety of gallops, and can do everything at home. . This is a nice horse from the family of Constitution Hill and Menorah. He's been slow enough to get going but he's a raw five-year-old with a lot of talent and I'd be hoping that he'll make up into a nice horse over fences.

Limerick Sun, 7th Jul, 2024  Barrogstown Girl It was her first time over the trip and on a dry surface. She’s like a lot of them she’s been handicapped on soft ground, and we were hoping the dryer ground would work in her favour. She was racing lazy early and got a bit detached. I said to Neve to try and get her home over the trip and don’t go after her until you get over the top of the hill. In fairness, she got her going in time and she came home nicely. She hit the line strong. She’s home bred by the brother Mick and he’s away with all the family in Salou, so I dare say there will be some strong stuff drank over there tonight!. Her dam won over hurdles and you would think up in trip won’t be a problem. She’s still green and a bit raw.
