Cork Racecourse, in Mallow Co.Cork is best known for the Grade 2 Hilly Way Chase which has been won in the past by some high-quality horses and each year it provides a great spectacle. There are five other Graded jumps races held at the track, while two Group 3 contests, including the Muster Oaks, are among the Flat season highlights.
??Cork is a round right-handed, flat, level track comprising a 10 furlong inner circuit and 12 furlong outer circuit. A two furlong chute allows for a straight 5 and 6 furlongs. It is a fair track which suits horses who race prominently
There are eight fences on the chase course and horse and rider face three in the home straight. It is a galloping track, which, similar to the Flat, favours horses which race prominently.
