Dundalk Wed, 29th Nov, 2023  Caulaincourt We're delighted for Catriona and Rick (Gaynor, Gaynor Bloodstock LLC). They live in America most of the year, but they are originally from Trim. For them to be here for the victory is brilliant because they have persevered. He's a horse that was weak throughout the whole year, he wants good ground and has just strengthened up. For a Dark Angel he'll get a trip, he obviously got a mile-and-a-half there but he'll even get further as he galloped right through the line. He's a horse that has plenty of scope about him and he'd be a nice horse for the jumping boys too.

Dundalk Fri, 24th Nov, 2023  Pier Pressure He definitely got confidence from his victory the last day. He is a very lightly-raced horse and is only growing into himself so, for obvious reasons, that was another race on his belt the last day that he has progressed from. The blinkers definitely helped. Colin gave him a super ride in the sense that he thought Billy (Lee on Free Solo) would bring him a bit further and then he switched over to Adam (Caffrey on Hightimeyouwon) and Adam's horse helped him. Mark (Breen) that owns him is in America and has been over to us a couple of times from America, he is a lovely man. He is not in the best of health at the minute and it will be a great tonic for him. He is a horse that will be sold, only at the right price. He is working his way up having fun and he is proving that he is a stalwart on this surface. He is there for anybody who wants a nice horse. He'll keep going until he is sold and will make a real good premier handicapper in the summer.

Dundalk Fri, 24th Nov, 2023  Madam Celeste Ger (Lyons) is adamant to get these two-year-olds out for a run before he puts them away, so they know their job for next year. The penny was only dropping at the backend of the turf season. Obviously, she is a Galileo and is telling us that she wants nice ground and this is the first mile race that has come up for fillies, so we had to grab it with two hands. Win, lose or draw, she was going for a good break after tonight. We are delighted to tick the box and she will have a good break. She will come back mid-spring onwards hopefully for a nice campaign. She is entered in the Irish Oaks and she has the breeding for a mile and a-half, She has got that out of the way and I'd say she is a mile and a-quarter filly and she'll tell us what she wants to do then. She showed a bit of class - Colin (Keane) loved her the way she jumped. She was very, very green, but he said he was always confident that she was going to win because she was giving him that willing feeling. We brought her here early and put her in the parade ring and brought her onto the track, and the penny drops very quickly. When she came into the parade ring for the real deal, she knew what she was there for. She's a quick learner.

Dundalk Fri, 10th Nov, 2023  Formal Display we would like to have got that maiden win out of him before now but he got sore shins after we ran him so we had to let him mature. He likes good ground and has really appreciated that surface. He gets the mile and probably a bit further next year. We’ve always liked him and he’s one to look forward to next year. He has a lovely pedigree. The first two have pulled well clear of the third and I’d say they are two nice horses.

Dundalk Fri, 10th Nov, 2023  Many Tears the top-rated horse was 98 but you know the old adage 'if your not in you can’t win'. Colin was brilliant, took his time from a wide draw and she was very impressive. Colin loved her at the start of the year and she’s grown another leg on this ground. She’s so honest which is half the battle. We ran her on every type of ground and that caught her out but we’ve found out that she loves the all-weather. A mile is probably ideal but she has enough speed for seven. She has an entry in the sales and black type is massive for a well-bred filly. A decision will have to be made now on whether she goes to the sales or if she goes and isn't getting well paid, there is always next year.
