Approximately 1/2 furlong out, Jack Mitchell, the rider of Double Or Bubble (IRE), unplaced, struck Artorius (AUS), which dead-heated for third place, once over the nose with the whip, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was considered to be accidental.
On the line, Artorius (AUS), which dead-heated for third place, lugged quickly right-handed caused knock-on interference to Highfield Princess (FR), placed sixth, and Kinross (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Artorius (AUS).
The performance of Home Affairs (AUS), which finished unplaced, ridden by James McDonald, was considered.
The representative of Chris Waller could offer no explanation for the HOME AFFAIR (AUS)’s performance other than that McDonald reported that the colt may have ran too free in the early stages.
Subsequently, the representative of Waller reported that the colt was stiff behind.
