Curragh Sun, 29th Sep, 2024  Montpellier Green It was a nice run. It took us a bit of time to get him figured out. The bit of juice in the ground helped him today and he won nicely, he was tough. He's had the headgear on and off and we tried cheekpieces as well, but we stuck to the blinkers today and he showed a good attitude. The second horse ran well, he had run well in Galway as well. He snuck into the race well and came home nicely. Dec (McDonogh) said he was green under pressure and ran around a good bit. He's going the right way.

Fairyhouse Mon, 23rd Sep, 2024  Una Matata She ran very well in Roscommon where the ground was probably a bit slow for her.

Naas Thu, 19th Sep, 2024  Tommy McJohn Winning trainer Michael O'Callaghan: .Dylan said that he got quite unbalanced at one point and he was glad to have the rail. He said he was going away again at the line but he said he wouldn't rush to step up to six furlongs,. He thinks a good stiff five is his trip and he would appreciate a little bit more of an ease, as he changed his legs plenty and felt it a little bit. The top-weight in a nursery are usually the best horse in the race at this time of year. He's a small little horse and did well to carry that weight. Dylan was very good on him.

Cork Fri, 16th Aug, 2024  Magnum Force we were disappointed he got beaten the last day but it rained, the ground became a little slow and he was stuffy and ran like he needed it. He showed a lot of speed the last day so we brought him back to five (furlongs) and he again showed plenty of speed today and loved that summer quick ground. we didn't put him in the Listed race (at the Curragh) tomorrow for the simple reason we wanted to come here and take baby steps but he has done what we wanted and expected him to do from his home work. Entries for the (Group 1) Middle Park Stakes closed the other day so we had that choice to make and entered him, but we'll take baby steps up now, although winners' races are few and far between.

Naas Mon, 5th Aug, 2024  Mehmar He's going the right way and is making up for lost time,. Colin said he's very straightforward, pings the gates. I was lucky to find this race for him, with not so many runners. It ticks another box and gets the second run out of the way. We might go to the drawing board now and make a plan. We'll progress our way up. I like the way he put his head down there and just did enough all the way to the line.

Galway Mon, 29th Jul, 2024  Artful Approach I thought he was well handicapped because he just hadn't got his act together in his races to this point. I thought if he could get it together today he would be competitive so it's great. He was drawn 21 in Fairyhouse and was four wide the whole way. He learned something the last day and the handicapper left him alone, thankfully, which put him in a position to win today. Hopefully this guy might reappear at the weekend.

Naas Wed, 24th Jul, 2024  Power Under Me he's a lovely horse and that's a nice bonus as it wasn't on the agenda as he's in the middle of a holiday at the minute, aiming for an autumn campaign. Kerri (daughter) rides him every day and he just leads two-year-olds. We're trying to just keep him ticking over and give him his break. He qualified for this race, you don't expect to get this ground at this time of the year and it just fell right for him. Colin said he thought he was going to win hands-and-heels and then had a blow so he had to give him a few flicks. I thought he'd need this as we haven't revved him up and that will leave him set up and now I can get him revved up for September, onwards. He's a star and I'm delighted for Vincent and Geraldine (Gaul, owners), he's just been a lovely horse for them.

Naas Wed, 24th Jul, 2024  Miss Lamai she's a good, tough filly. I thought that if she ran up to either of her last two runs, she would be hard to beat, although you never know with two-year-old fillies. We walked the track and when I watch Naas on TV, they are always coming stands' side and it walked that way as well. I said to Cliff if they all go the other way to make sure he was on this side to make his challenge and if they split, to definitely come this way. I think that helped. She got caught in the last 50 yards in the Marygate (Stakes) and at Royal Ascot they were spread across the track and she never got cover. That's the first time I've really seen her finish off her race. I've always thought she'd be a better filly with a bit of cover and that's worked out today. she's in the Lowther and we'll discuss that and this it's huge for Chris (Hirst, owner), who lives in Thailand, as he's building up a broodmare band.

Naas Wed, 24th Jul, 2024  Diego Ventura I'm not surprised he won as we liked him but I'm sorry I didn't back him when I saw his price afterwards! He goes really well. he was green, pulled up when he hit the front and won with loads of horse left. He could be very nice and it looked a nice race on paper. I can't say I was confident, or anything like that, but I would have been very disappointed if he wasn't bang there. I don't have a plan, we'll get him home and we'll see.

Curragh Sat, 20th Jul, 2024  Believing She was probably entitled to win this. She is very straight forward and seems to be most suited to five furlongs. She's such a hardy, tough filly and she did it well. She came out of Ascot great. She ran with great credit in two Group 1's over the week which is amazing. She hasn't done a lot since and we've just freshened her up. She can be quite busy at a high level through the second half of the year, and I'd imagine she'll have sales hopes later in the year. Highclere are great supporters of the yard and it’s great to get a Group 2 win for them. Henry Morshead, representing

Naas Sat, 6th Jul, 2024  Amazing Athena She ran so bad first time out but she was very green, never got into the race and Ben said she was all over the place,. Her work had been consistently good and I was expecting a bit better so I was coming here hoping today. Fast ground and five furlongs really suits her. We think she's a nice filly and she's sure to improve with a bit of racing as well. She'll probably go for a winners of one or a stakes race now. She has a nice pedigree, her half-sister (Basil Martini) is a Group 3 winner so we'll try and do something similar with her.

Tipperary Wed, 29th May, 2024  Sir Yoshi we like him but he obviously wants quicker ground than that (soft). I blame myself for the last day as I told Luke to take his time. He pinged the gates though and we ended up doing neither or, and they crowded him and he got intimidated. He came home well though and I wanted to get one more run into him before going to Ascot. He'll go for the Windsor (Castle Stakes) — shur why not, as he is tough and we don't know how good he is as he is very, very lazy. He is exceptionally lazy but yet he always seems to get there. His biggest attribute for Ascot is his relaxed temperament, which is what you need, and he has a bit of pace.

Leopardstown Fri, 17th May, 2024  Scorthy Champ He's a well-bred horse and we liked him, obviously. I think everyone was liked in the race, every time I looked there was money coming for something else,. They were a proper bunch on pedigrees, well-bred horses. I thought he was very impressive. Dylan said he was quite green early so he just took his time. When he got a bit of room he said he opened up really well. He had been working very nicely, and he's very well-bred. He looks very smart. I suppose the obvious thing is to come back here for the Tyros Stakes, let's see how he pulls up and take it from there. He'll be going down that National Stakes path. I know he's a Mehmas but he's a big horse and his family were better three-year-olds. We won't be forcing him but he looks very smart.
