Dundalk Thu, 16th Mar, 2023  Tai Sing Yeh Joey is brilliant for that (front-running), he really is. If ever a jockey was made for a horse, it was him especially with the hotpot (6/5f Dream Today) and the only way to do it was to try and be aggressive and see - catch me if you can. We told him 'when you go for him, absolutely set him alight and if it works it works, and if it doesn't, it isn't down on you'. When he gets away like that, you can ride him like that because he won't shirk it. If horses are coming to him, he won't throw it in like some horses - if you go too hard they just fold. He was leading it (leading horse of the winter series in Dundalk) up until today. Actually, the horse that finished second (Inflection Point) was second in the race for it. For an old horse like him to do that, it is grand. I think that is four winners in the last three meetings here. When you get good, genuine horses like that, you can run them away. To be fair, a few of the horses I ran today the jockeys are saying it is just a bit quick for them up here and to try them on the grass. We'll tip away and see how they fare. It is great to get Joey a winner as well, we have had a long association with him.

Dundalk Fri, 10th Feb, 2023  Harry's Bar He's a brilliant horse, a great horse to have. We have him down to go away to Saudi - he is first reserve and I don't know whether he is going to get in. We did enter him up in the sprints out in Dubai on the Super Saturday out there. He has the all-weather championships (in Britain) as well. Personally, I would rather go to Lingfield than Newcastle. The Lingfield track suits him around a bend, I think he is a far better horse around a bend. The horse (Real Appeal) went to Qatar today and we are heading out on Tuesday, looking forward to it.

Dundalk Fri, 4th Nov, 2022  Lokada I thought she was entitled to do that because I liked her all along,. She had plenty of boot at home but she's one that's taken plenty of time and she's had excuses for every day that she ran before now. I thought the handicapper was very fair on her, giving her a mark of 58. I thought it was quite under the mark. She ran over seven first time and didn't get home, then she ran over six the next day at the Curragh and led them to the furlong pole. She ran over five the last day at Navan but it was bottomless ground, and she led to about 150 yards out. She didn't get home in that ground. Being by Exceed And Excel she wants nicer ground. Colin said she was plenty green when she got there but she has loads of boot and she'll be better suited by a better race where they go quite fast. She's an out-and-out five furlong filly. We might see if there is something else up here for her over the winter because she wants nice ground. If not, we'll put her away until next year.
