Curragh Sun, 21st Jul, 2024  Royal Dress I'm delighted with that, I wasn't so happy when she was an unlucky third at Epsom or when the ground got a bit quick for her at Ascot, but everything went perfectly today. I was hoping that the ground today was soft enough for her. We discovered at Ascot that it's not really that she needs the ground soft, she just needs a decent test of stamina. So although the ground wasn't that soft today, with Sparks Fly going off so quick, that played nicely into our hands. There's no way we'll be going back to a mile now after winning over nine furlongs today. A mile and a quarter would be ideal and on that kind of ground you wouldn't even rule out a mile and a half. I think it would be a bit greedy to go for the Nassau (at Goodwood on August 1). It was either this race today, or there were a couple of other options, including the Nassau. We've chosen this and it's worked out great, so we'll enjoy today and see what mile-and-a-quarter or mile-and-a-half Group Ones or Group Twos we can find on soft ground.

Curragh Sat, 29th Jun, 2024  Hazdann He did it nicely. He just got no run in Gowran, but he came home very well that day. He's progressed well for the race, worked very well the other morning and I thought he'd represent us very well. That's what he did. I said to Chris that he would have learned a lot from Gowran, that he had a good draw and to use his experience. He's a lovely colt, a very genuine colt. Obviously, we'll look at a Stakes race with him next. We'll hasten slowly with him. You'll find he continues to progress as the year goes on. He's from the Harzand family so there is a nice bit of toughness there as well. It's a very important winner with the Princess here to see it.

Naas Sun, 19th May, 2024  Chicago Critic I always thought he might be a soft ground horse, but we worked him on the grass last week and Ben was very impressed with him. He’s been gelded since his last run as well so maybe a bit of both. He’s a horse we always liked last year after maybe he won his maiden on soft ground because he’s so genuine. I’m delighted the way he’s done it today. Ben said he’s hit the line well and he might be a horse to go for the Britannia in Ascot.

Cork Fri, 26th Apr, 2024  Thunder Roll she was a nice filly last year and progressed well but she was a bit below par in France (in September) when the ground was very fast. I thought she did well to win today's tactical race as she went to the front early and fought all the way to the line. It was a very good ride and hopefully she is a progressive filly for this year. There is no doubt she will be at her best when she has a bit of juice (in the ground) and while Dylan said we could consider 10 furlongs if we wanted to but I think she'll stick to 1m4f. There is the Group 3 Munster Oaks back here in June.

Naas Sun, 24th Mar, 2024  Janoobi There is a lot of satisfaction in that because he's come back from a massive injury and the team have done a marvellous job,. He wintered with Ronnie Boland and he didn't come into me until he was ready to start back. He had a bad fracture in his front leg and it was touch and go whether he was going to be with us. They did a massive job with him and it's a credit to anyone that had anything to do with him. He started back at the end of last season and he's had a good long prep. He hasn't missed a day since he started with me. It's credit to the horse to come back from an injury like that and to do that first time out. He's a horse that we always liked and it's just a bonus to get him back, to win with him is just massive. He's a good fun horse to have on the team and every day we have with him now is a bonus.
