The Raceday Stewards interviewed M. Flannery, trainer of Cornmarket, regarding the late arrival of the horse into the Parade Ring without permission to do so, and also the animals late arrival at the start which contributed to a delay to the off time in this race. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that he had tack issues when saddling his charge which caused him considerable delay and apologised for his actions. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that M. Flannery was in breach of Rule 32(ii)(late into the parade ring) and Rule 205(i)(late to the start). Having considered his clean record in both these regards, the Raceday Stewards cautioned him on this occasion
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr C.J. Shine, rider of Added Bonus, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr C.J. Shine was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for three racedays.
