The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Thomas Gibney, trainer of Lucky Two, for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90(i)
Mr H.C. Swan, rider of How Decc, trained by E.Seymour, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had a trickle of blood on one of his nostrils. This was subsequently confirmed by the IHRB Veterinary Officer
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr T. Power Roche, rider of Cramers Valley, concerning his use of the whip during the course of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the Whip Regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr T. Power Roche was in breach of R.10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (second offence under Regulation 10), they suspended him for four racedays.
