Kilbeggan Fri, 26th Jul, 2024  Aliunde He didn't relax the last day and probably didn't have enough cover,. He needs to get switched off. He gets very revved, even before the race he can nearly have his race run. Phillip was exceptional, it's as good a bit of riding as you'll see. He gave the rail away nowhere and found room where there was no room. He smuggled him into the race and the horse won without knowing it. He'll probably stay chasing for now. He'll probably go to Downpatrick in a couple of weeks.

Downpatrick Sat, 15th Jun, 2024  Chainofconsequence He travelled very well throughout the race and at the top of the hill I thought he was still going to win. Then your man (Ocodango Boy) passed him, but he galloped to the line afterwards. We were lucky, maybe, but you never know what might have happened from the back of the last because he did gallop to the line. He deserved that, he has been running well without getting over the line. He has been placed a few times. We never actually thought he would go on real good ground. He has won on bottomless ground twice, but we ran him in Limerick on good ground and he finished third and actually ran real well. Adam (Ryan), who is leading him up there today, rode him and said he loved the ground. It is after working out well. We will give him a little break now as he's had a few races fairly quickly - Tramore or if there is a race back here. It was a long drive up but shorter going back!

Clonmel Thu, 16th May, 2024  Natural Look She is rising nine and when you start to think about going to stud and covering them. We gave her a break after being pulled up at Leopardstown and I said to David (Needham, owner) would we give somebody a chance to claim her and buy a younger horse. To be fair to her she has won four races and been placed ten times. She has been a great mare for us and collected a couple of bonuses along the way as well. If she’s claimed she’s claimed and if she’s coming home we’re happy as well.

Punchestown Thu, 2nd May, 2024  Pinkerton He is a horse that gets 2m very well and it was a burst of speed I had never felt off him before. He is not overly big but he jumps slick and likes plenty cover. He did everything right the whole way round. He came out of last week's race great. I was a disappointed he didn't win a bit easier there as it was a very ordinary contest, he struggled a bit and was maybe in front a bit long. Today when he went to the front he wandered a bit going to the last. It's great for the owners to win here, he's been a super little horse for them. He's the first horse Philip (Polly) bought off me and that's the first time he's won for them. He's tough and the jockey is very good, he's very strong. He mightn't go on real quick ground, he wants an ease, but we'll carry on for the moment and see how we go.
