Leopardstown Sun, 7th May, 2023  Smooth Tom The visors made a big difference as he wasn’t travelling in his races. We fancied him for the Lincoln and he didn’t get in and he never travelled here about a month ago and got stopped in his run coming home. We worked him in visors last Saturday morning and he worked well in them. He’ll probably go for a Premier Handicap on Guineas weekend. He likes a bit of juice in the ground.

Cork Fri, 21st Apr, 2023  Moracana She won a big handicap on Champions Weekend in Leopardstown and we thought she wanted soft. We were really looking forward to two late runs in Naas but, how wrong did I get that as she hated the ground. Robbie said she was so relaxed and knew, when he pulled her out, knew he would get there, but it was a class ride. I had the grandmother, her mother and bred her so and it is great for a filly to get black-type - it is what you want. I sold her to Sue (Chadwick) after her run in Navan. She will stick to good ground now and I'll take baby steps. She is so relaxed she could stay further and I'll sit down and have a proper look at her upcoming races now.

Bellewstown Thu, 6th Apr, 2023  Rhythm King He's a grand horse, once the ground is soft. He really needs soft ground,. He won well in Gowran in soft and was unlucky in Galway. He won very well here today and he's something to look forward to. He was a little bit unlucky behind Duke Of Leggagh (in Galway) who has been second in a good handicap and won since. We were hopeful for today. We might have a look at a nicer race, he grinds it out and puts his head to the floor and tries.

Leopardstown Sun, 2nd Apr, 2023  Signora Bellissima It’s great to get the first winner of the season on the board. I didn’t know about the trip and was just hoping that she would stay the distance. Jamie said that she got through the ground really well. She probably needed his 5lb and was running out of steam. We’ll keep her at a mile and a quarter and she has probably strengthened up a bit from two to three. Hopefully she will keep going and we will probably get her out soon rather than later while the ground is the way it is. She did quicken up well but it’s a long way up the straight today. Jamie is good value for that 5lb.

Dundalk Wed, 15th Feb, 2023  Elzaam Blue He is a horse that has been out of luck in plenty of his runs. Things haven't gone his way, but you can't keep making excuses for them either. He has let us down a couple of times as well. I do believe there is plenty to come with him too. He is a lad that has had plenty of runs but he's only really learning to run at the moment. It was the plan (to dictate), we said we would jump and let him make his own pace and don't disappoint him. Dean is a very valuable member of the team at home as well. It is great to get him a winner there. He deserves it because he's a great kid. Any winner is welcome for me. We'll see how he comes out of this, whether we come back here or freshen him up for the grass.
