Curragh Sat, 5th Oct, 2024  Selective Power The plan after Galway was to come here because of the good pot,. I actually really fancied him, I thought at the furlong pole he was going to come home on his own. James has done two pieces of work with him in the last week and we were confident. Fair play to the Curragh, for a small trainer like me to run for 20 grand is a big thing. My Dad hasn't been well and he actually shouldn't be here as he's had treatment but we expected him nearly to win so it was hard to keep him away!. He'll keep going and we'll give him a run in ten days or so before the season ends. He probably would want a little bit more juice but got away with it.

Naas Wed, 24th Jul, 2024  Selective Power This horse has my head wrecked! He is some work horse but today's the first time he's done it,. When he comes to the races he won't go into a stable and we've to walk him around for the hour when we get here but he's always had that ability. We have four horses in training, three of them have won this year and the other horse, Divilabother who runs on Friday, has been second. Rob (Whearty) rode him the last day and said he didn't stay. He's at the right end of the handicap and hopefully he won't go too hard on him. He'll keep going. I'm delighted for my dad Paul who hasn't been well. This is his syndicate so it means a lot.

Leopardstown Thu, 11th Jul, 2024  Jancis She's a lovely filly. Myself and Nancy (Sexton) spoke last week and it was either here or Killarney next week. I just thought that Killarney would be a full field and might be a bit much for her. I thought that she'd been up here and had a good experience the last day so let's come back here. Win, lose or draw she'd learn a lot more today, which she did. She's a great walking filly, she's an athlete, and we just took our time with her. We're happy with that. We'll come back here for the Matron, I don't know if we'll do anything before that. She's a light-framed filly and she doesn't take much work. They were going a good clip today, the last day was a maiden whereas this was a Group 3 with proper hardy horses in it. I just loved the way she picked up when she went through the gears. Billy thought there was still more there. She obviously flows over good ground so that's what she'll be running on, we'll keep her on that.
