McNamara, rider of Celtic Dancer, J.J. Slevin, rider of Moonlight Glory, G.P. Brouder, rider of Old Town Road, S.D. Torrens, rider of Stealthy Tom and M.P. O'Connor, rider of Daring Decree had put their horses into a trot or canter with a view to taking any advantage before the race is started, resulting in a false start. A. Doyle and S. D. Torrens had made reasonable efforts to restrain their mounts. They were however satisfied that J. C. Gainford, S. Fitzgerald, C. P. McNamara, J. J. Slevin, G. P. Brouder and M. P.
