Ballinrobe Mon, 22nd Jul, 2024  Dont Do Dramas People were saying it was a bad run the last day (at Fairyhouse), but the ground was probably a little on the lively side for him and the first and second were first and second in the Ulster Derby (at Down Royal). Hopefully we're going to Galway with him and I actually thought he might need the run here tonight. The lads (AJ Partnership) want a winner in Galway and that has been the plan all year. The lads actually didn't travel tonight, which is a shame, and that's the second time they haven't been present when he's won. He's in over a mile and a half on Monday and, if he doesn't get into that, there's a race for him later in the week over a mile. He doesn't need soft ground, but handles it well and I think he'll make a lovely three-year-old hurdler.

Tipperary Wed, 29th May, 2024  Status Green He is a lovely horse and is at his level. His breeder Nelius Hayes had him initially but since selling him, his half-sister won a Group race in America. He still has the mare so he's delighted, and we're delighted as we still have this horse.

Gowran Park Wed, 8th May, 2024  Empress Of Beauty We were hoping for a good run. She’s a big girl and I’d say she just had enough at the end of last season. She had been working well this year and it was lovely to see her do it on ground that she wouldn’t be too keen on. She is a lot stronger this year. She’s a big, scopey filly and we just felt that she fell away a bit last year. She is really filling her frame out now and this year could be really exciting now.

Sligo Sun, 5th May, 2024  Dont Do Dramas We were a little disappointed the last day (in Cork) that he wasn't closer, but there was a big swing around with the favourite (Solar Drive). There was 17lb of a swing and that made the difference. We rode him a little differently as well, we jumped him out, made the running and tried to stretch the favourite the whole way. Making the running seems to work for him. We would try him over a mile and a half again. It's a good stiff uphill finish here and he wasn't stopping. He handles soft ground well but I think he'll go on most ground, he mightn't want it firm. Wesley is back with us now and he's part of the furniture at our place. He's a great talent, a top-class jockey and we'd be hoping that he'll go close in the apprentice title race this year.
