The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Quirt Evans, ridden by J.P
O'Sullivan, placed third and Molly Wedger, ridden by P.T. Enright, placed second, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. P. O'Sullivan stated that he felt there was sufficient room to go through. P. T. Enright stated that he felt he had maintained a straight line and received a bump from his inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that while minor interference had occurred no horse had improved its finishing position as a result so they made no alteration to the judge's placings and took no further action.
