The Stewards interviewed L.T. McAteer, rider of Reeking Havoc, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account cautioned him
C.D. Hayes, rider of Sestriere trained by Kevin Prendergast, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got checked one and a half furlongs out
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Kinch, trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Nakakande, ridden by B.M. Coen, and Sestriere, ridden by C.D. Hayes, where it appeared Sestriere checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B.M
Coen gave his evidence in the presence of Mr. A. McCann. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found B.M. Coen in breach of Rule 214 through careless riding and having taken his record into account suspended him for 1 race day.
