Dundalk Wed, 1st Feb, 2023  Indiana Grey She has been threatening to win since she won in Cork. She has invariably been getting poor draws and I always think she is better if she has a rail to run against. Jack got her away well, she travelled really well today and as well as I'd ever seen her travel, and picked up great. I'm so pleased for Jack, he was with me when he was a 12-year-old and they lived in Navan for a long time and then they moved to Castletown and he went to ride out for Noel Meade. I've been giving him a good few spins lately and that's his first winner for me. He's a lovely young fella and he's got a good talent. He's very promising. I think he is halfway through his 7lb claim and he is an astute rider, good hands and he is getting stronger all the time. I will of course (give him more opportunities), I've always tried to look out for a guy on the up - Mikey Sheehy and Dylan (Browne McMonagle) before that. If you can identify them early enough, they can reward you.

Dundalk Fri, 20th Jan, 2023  Hodd's Girl She's a great filly and she's a lovely filly to train. She is just improving and improving. He was very good on her too today, he didn't panic. They went good and quick, so he just sat there and that is the beauty about him. I'm delighted for the lads, I think that is her fourth win since she came to me. We'll probably try and get a bit of black-type with her now. She did that very easily tonight. She deserves a shot at a good pot somewhere and that is what she will get. We might look at the all-weather finals, I think the likes of Newcastle would suit her because they will go very, very fast and the race is inclined to collapse. She is a very strong traveller.

Dundalk Fri, 11th Nov, 2022  Hodd's Girl He gave her a great ride, he was really patient on her and took his time. She was drawn badly and I just said 'slot in and take your time' and that's exactly what he did. They went good and quick and it played into her strengths, but she picked up and got to them. She is improving - how much more she is going to improve I don't know, we will just keep going until Garry (O'Gorman, handicapper) gets her!
