On the bend turning into the home straight, the free running Rogue Lightning (IRE), placed sixth, had to be taken off heels after being placed awkwardly between New Definition (GB), unplaced, and Rumstar (GB), placed fourth.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any horse.
An enquiry was held to consider interference in the final half furlong involving Rogue Lightning (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Jack Mitchell, Kyeema (GB), unplaced, ridden by Tom Marquand and Minnetonka (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Dane O’Neill.
The interference was found to be accidental as Rogue Lightning (IRE) had to be shifted quickly off the heels of the rapidly weakening New Definition (GB), unplaced, causing Minnetonka (IRE) to be checked and Kyeema (GB) to be denied a clear run.
On the run to the line, Believing (IRE), placed second, shifted slightly right before being corrected, causing Rumstar (GB), placed fourth, to be moved slightly off its intended line and in turn cause New Definition (GB), unplaced, and Rogue Lightning, placed sixth, to be momentarily crowded for room.
Following the race, Tom Marquand reported that Kyeema (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run.
Jack Mitchell reported that Rogue Lightning (IRE), placed sixth, ran too free.
Dane O'Neill reported that Minnetonka (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run.
