He got a knocked a little when we schooled him and we just had to take our time with him. He had a good run in Gowran the first day behind a Grade 1 horse. I think he'll be grand. The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Captain's Pick, ridden by Mr R. James, placed second, and Minella Mate, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed first, where it both horses rolled around under pressure and came together after it appeared that Captain's Pick drifted left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

Rules or Rules of Racing Weights - 4-y-o 11st 9lbs 5-y-o and up 12st Mares allowed 7lbs Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 15th June) may also ride in this race.
