The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approching the last hurdle involving Helvic Dream, ridden by Sam Ewing, placed third, and Dark Note (GB), ridden by C.M. Quirke, unplaced, where it appeared Dark Note had to switch off his racing line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.M. Quirke stated that his race was run when Helvic Dream switched in, he also added that he did not suffer any interference. S. Ewing stated that he edged in as his mount was having a look at the wing of the last hurdle and felt he was clear of Dark Note. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied no further action was warranted
M.P. Walsh, rider of Risk Belle (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran short of room and clipped a heel. Having viewed footage of the incident, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
S.W. Flanagan, rider of Sherodan, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled up lame five furlongs out
An extended handicap hurdle for five years old and upwards that have run at least three times in hurdle races up to and including 15th September 2024 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race or hurdle races after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
