Dundalk Wed, 20th Nov, 2024  Pearl Jewel She has (stayed the 1m4f well) and she has been very consistent. She has been running well in defeat, so it is nice to see her get her head in front. He (Carroll) said she was maybe getting a little bit lonely, but he felt nothing was going to get past her. I'd be keen to maybe leave her alone now until January, give her a bit of break. She deserves a break at this stage. We will reassess in January. She kind of had a few health issues during the summer, she was scoping wrong and stuff. They (owners) have had to be patient, but I'm delighted for them and the filly. They both deserve it.

Listowel Sat, 28th Sep, 2024  Windbeneathmywings I was kicking myself after Ballinrobe as I gave him a break after his first win and while I'm not knocking the Ballinrobe winner, he blew up as I hadn't him fit enough,. He is a very very good horse, is an incredible jumper and reminds me of French Ballerina. I was going to go point-to-pointing as he jumps chase fences but decided not and I'm delighted he went on the soft ground today. . The ideal thing would be sell him to stay in the yard and if anybody wants a good horse, that's a good horse. I couldn't believe it when I bought him at the sales as the people who sold him were disappointed with his price (€22,000) on the day. I loved the horse and said I had to buy him, and that's it. He is only four and there won't be any saddle on his back now for about four months. I'm not saying anything for definite but the Cheltenham Bumper might be a possibility although that would be the only other bumper he might run in.

Tipperary Fri, 9th Aug, 2024  Not Just Any Eagle He was in savage form, I really fancied him today although I didn't know whether they'd go fast or slow, so everything had to go right for him. They went fast but Robyn was clever enough to take her time. . At Down Royal the last day, Robyn's foot came out of an iron when she thought he'd have won but he won today instead. He is a nice horse and hopefully will win again.

Gowran Park Sat, 27th Jul, 2024  Harriet Eagle she's given us a few problems with her hind and has gone a bit stiff at times so we had masseurs in rubbing her. I said to Billy (Lee) that she's as fit as a flea and to have her as prominent as you like and that she should run a good race. She should improve from that again hopefully. She's a nice well-bred filly and is by Free Eagle, one of my favourite sires. She should win again, hopefully. I was delighted because we had hard luck in the last race where the horse (runner-up Shaaden) sat in the stalls a bit and was only beaten half a length.

Sligo Sun, 7th Jul, 2024  La Hacienda This is our time of year and the horses are all running well (double at Bellewstown on Friday). Most of ours want summer ground. . This mare has won at Galway on the Flat so we might head there with her. It's nice to get that hurdles win with her. She's small but she's tough. I'm not sure about three miles, she's not slow and travels very strongly, so this kind of trip is probably about right for now.  . I'm delighted for James, he works hard and deserves any success he gets.

Cork Fri, 5th Jul, 2024  Windbeneathmywings I thought he had a chance today. I love the sire and have a pile of them by the sire as Pat Smullen told me Free Eagle was one of the best horses he’d ridden. He was a reasonable price for my mares and I bought this lad as a yearling for 22,000Euro. . He did everything to get himself beaten there today. He pulled so hard and when he learns to race he’ll be a real nice horse.
