The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Raknah, ridden by S. Foley, unplaced, Alto Sax, ridden by J. Kearney, unplaced, and Uncle Albert, ridden by R.P. Whelan, unplaced, where it appeared Uncle Albert had suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, R.P. Whelan stated that he was staying on one paced when he felt pressure from his inside and he took a precautionary check. J. Kearney stated that his mount was drifting right which was not helped by receiving a bump from his inner but that he felt he did his best to correct him. S. Foley stated that he received a slight bump from his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Mctenett, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jinked right inside the final furlong
R.P. Whelan, rider of Uncle Albert, trained by Kieran P. Cotter, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he took a precautionary check and accepted that his race was over at that point .
