Cork Fri, 26th Jul, 2024  Solar Drive He is consistent and I'd imagine he will go hurdling now as he isn't as well handicapped. His owners might want to go to Galway next week as they are from there but it would be the wrong trip although he owes them nothing so might go to give them a day. The 5lb claim made the difference, he gave him a grand ride and hopefully he will be a better horse next year.

Sligo Tue, 11th Jun, 2024  The Truant I go back a long way with Kevin and it's great to give him a few winners. He knew this horse from Peter's (Fahey) and gave him a great ride. His form suggests he wants softer ground but he handled that well.

Tipperary Wed, 29th May, 2024  Party Dress She always worked well but hadn't run well in her two runs. She worked well on good ground the last day so I was disappointed the rain came but there weren't many options so I decided to run her. . She is big honest filly and was sent over to Ian McCarthy (pre-trainer) so she could jump a hurdle. . My wife and her good friend Susan Archdeacon own her between them and they're delighted.

Cork Sat, 11th May, 2024  Master Otis He had form in bumpers last year, learned his trade and is a lot stronger horse now. He were hoping he'd win in Fairyhouse but a horse ran out through a wing which upset him and he nearly fell at the second-last - only for that he'd have been a lot closer,. He has been working very well since Fairyhouse and my horses are an awful lot better now and the yard is in better form now. Sean Flanagan is great to have and gave him a lovely ride. I'd say he'll handle any ground, we told the owner to have a few pounds on so thank God it worked out.

Cork Fri, 26th Apr, 2024  Solar Drive He is a grand horse and obviously Dundalk didn't suit him. I was hoping to go to Tipperary for a 1m1f race but it was called off so then had nowhere else to run. I came here and luckily he stayed (the distance) although I don't like running them from out of the handicap.

Bellewstown Wed, 24th Apr, 2024  Pinot Gris Absolutely (kept it simple off the front) and cheekpieces helped him as well as he races a little bit lazily. A little bit nicer ground helped as well, it was very deep ground the last day (in Cork). I'm not saying he needs good ground, but deep winter ground is probably a little too much for him.
