Down Royal Fri, 6th Sep, 2024  Saint Brandon This horse ran well in Galway and he also put up a nice performance in Naas the last time over six furlongs. Billy was just saying the run sharpened him up a bit. . He jumped smart and got into the race nicely. He quickened well and he stayed on, and he put up a good battle to win. . I think our next option would be the final of the series in Naas over seven furlongs. He wouldn't mind a cut in the ground, so we are hoping he would be a good candidate to run in that race. With a bit of luck he will pick up a bit of prize money. . He's a very nice, honest horse and always a happy horse. He's a pleasure to train.

Limerick Sat, 22nd Jun, 2024  One Boss she isn't long with me and worked well a couple of times on grass on Walsh's Hill. She is in foal to Bayside Boy and the whole thing was trying to get her to win. I was tempted by running her in the other fillies' race today with less runners but chanced this race, hoping for a nice draw. We ended up with a terrible drawn but all the horses are coming wide and Declan gave her a lot of confidence and gave her a lovely patient ride. That's all she wanted.

Fairyhouse Thu, 30th May, 2024  Alto Sax He's just learning on the job and he's going to mature,. His future is in front of him and he's put in at a claiming price, but since the McAuleys have stopped claiming we're in a bit of no man's land!. He gets the trip and he should do a nice summer hurdling job for somebody. If he's not claimed it'll be more of the same. He needs the blinkers as he just got there and parked but, as Colin said, in his own grade he's a grand horse.

Roscommon Mon, 20th May, 2024  Alto Sax It's not before time. He wants that ground or better, he hops off it. He ran in Gowran Park the last day and it was the worst ground I've ever walked on. He actually went to win his race and stumbled on the ground because it was that bad. It's from one extreme to the other today. He got his ground and went and did it.

Punchestown Thu, 2nd May, 2024  Pigeon House Finally, he did it at the right time anyway,. Nico gave him a great ride, and he dropped his stick after the last so he never even hit him. We'll go to the Flat with him now, he's in a mile-and-six handicap at Gowran next week. He's been threatening to do that all winter. He probably liked that better ground, although he wasn't quick enough on it back in the autumn. He's got much stronger, he is only four still. Galway could be on our mind as well. We gave him a good break after Cheltenham, freshened him up, and he's really loved it.
