Navan Sat, 7th Sep, 2024  Golden Ocean She's a filly we always thought a lot of. She had a genuine excuse that day in Naas and things just didn't go right in Leopardstown. She's a big filly that we always thought of next year for. She is very well-bred, she is out of a mare that won three Group Ones. Jim Ryan took her home after her last run and just gave her a month at home. He gave her plenty of TLC and he gave her a break exactly when she needed it. He did plenty of work with her at home and I got her back a month ago in brilliant order. All I had to do was not mess her up. Seamie said she will be better in a better race going 1m2f next year. She is still a big baby and very important to get her winning bracket. She has done that now so we'll get her home. No matter what we do, we'll be looking forward to next year for her.

Bellewstown Tue, 27th Aug, 2024  Ob La Di When I entered her, I thought 'gees she would have a great chance of winning a race', but when you see the standard of race. It looked a very, very competitive race, but this is a filly we always thought a lot of at the start of the year. She goes through the soft ground well and it was a good performance. I just put the cheekpieces on for this track, it is a sharp track. I put them on her and she probably didn't need them, but around here just put them on her to help her on this track. She is going the right way and I think she is a filly for the future.

Naas Sun, 25th Aug, 2024  Revoke Colin said she’s done what we said she’d do at home which is lovely. That’s her first time away and her first time galloping on turf. We do that as I’m adamant I don’t care if they are beaten first time out as they get a second bite, and then we know where we can go with them. We won’t shy away with her, from what we can get at two, and heading for black-type as she’s quick. We’ll just see how she takes this as there is nothing of her and she’s only a 410 kilos filly. She’ll either come forward from this or she’ll go back so she’ll tell me what to do. Worst case scenario she’ll be in Dundalk for the Mercury or something like that.

Tipperary Wed, 3rd Jul, 2024  Blue Soul I’m absolutely chuffed to bits for Declan Landy as that’s the first winner he’s bred himself. James was excellent on her. He knew there was going to be a good gallop, but he had a good clock in his head. He said she idled a little in front so there is still a bit left there and might improve stepped up in trip. Chris (Hayes) rode her at the Curragh and got into a fair bit of trouble but fair play he looked after her and Ger said we’ll run her back.

Curragh Sat, 25th May, 2024  Rosallion I thought he (Haatem) would be hard beat here today, so I knew when I got to him he had just done everything right for himself and he has dragged me to the line, so he has had to work hard to get by him. My lad can get a bit generous if you put him in a position where he has to be competitive, so the only thing I could do was take (him) out of it. I was confident I was going to get him (Haatem), especially that last bit where he is climbing all the time. Hopefully, they both come out of it okay. No doubt (huge training performance by Richard Hannon), he has rolled the dice on a few occasions and he has come up on top. After the Guineas, he said he really wanted to come here and it has paid off again. He is absolutely brilliant to ride for, like his father before him. We work really well together because he doesn't tell me anything! I think his view is that he has done the training and the riding is completely up to me. If I get it wrong, don't get me wrong, my head is on the chopping block!. Fingers crossed, hopefully Ascot is the next step. I had my first ride here on South Wind Rising (17/4/05) and it is nice to come back with a favourite's chance and deliver. I'm delighted, both of them have run a super race. Rosallion was a bit keen early and Haatem is such a brave horse, he's run such a lovely race and I've never known a horse to have as many supporters as he has. He probably didn't deserve to get beat, but his day will come. Rosallion, I'm absolutely delighted with him,
