The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after leaving the stalls involving Lily Like (GB), ridden by W.J
Lee, placed third, Blue Wood, ridden by A.C. Persse, placed first, and Short N Sweet, ridden by Kyanna Van Buuren where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned
Kyanna Van Buuren stated that her mount received pressure from her right and had to take back. W.J. Lee stated that his mount received a little pressure from his right but held his line. A.C. Persse stated that his mount jumped a little left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found A.C
Persse, was in breach of Rule 214 in that they had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for three Racedays days
The Raceday Stewards interviewed A.C. Persse, rider of Blue Wood, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that A. C. Persse was in breach of rule 211 and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended A. C. Persse for three racedays
