An enquiry was held to consider interference leaving the back straight involving Tritonic (GB), placed fourth, ridden by A.

Heskin, Off Your Rocco (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Kieren Buckley, the winner Fennor Cross (IRE), ridden by Ben Harvey and Dargiannini (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Paul O’Brien.
Upon leaving the back straight in a tightly packed field Tritonic (GB) became short of room and the rider had to take a check on the inside of Fennor Cross (IRE), which in turn was racing just to the inside of Dargiannini (IRE) which itself had edged slightly left-handed.
This resulted in Off Your Rocco (IRE), who had been improving down the inside to become severely tightened for room, making contact with the rail and the rider to take a check losing his position.
Having heard the rider’s evidence and viewed recordings of the incident, the Stewards were unable to apportion blame to any individual rider and the interference was found to be accidental.
It was noted that No Ordinary Joe (IRE), placed seventh, and Sonigino (FR), placed third, were badly hampered when following behind this incident.
The performance of Captain Conby which finished unplaced, beaten 65¾ lengths, was considered.

Sheehy could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Captain Conby, during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
