The Stewards interviewed A.C. Persse, rider of Lady Of Luxury, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. In his evidence, A.C. Persse admitted that he had exceeded the whip guidelines and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that A.C. Persse was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his clean record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned A.C. Persse on this occasion
Kyanna Van Buuren, rider of Magi Gal trained by John C. McConnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount was very slowly away.
