The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident approaching the first bend where it appeared that several horses were jostling for position. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
R.P. Whelan, rider of Rauzan, trained by M. Halford & T. Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount shied at the first bend
J.A. Powell, rider of Boola Boola, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Michael William O'Meara, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Roman Bull, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Michael William O'Meara reported that his charge got completely worked up the last day at The Curragh when returning from a lay off due to a wind operation and was much more settled today and this in his opinion brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report
