Permission was given for Nasim (GB) and Hezahunk (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood; for Star Zinc (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for SHARVANA to go early to post.
The raceday privilege request in relation to SHARVANA, trained by Archie Watson was late being submitted.
Watson was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
The winner, Star Zinc (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Beverley on 31 May 2023 where the gelding finished eleventh of twelve, beaten by 12 ½ lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Star Zinc (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Ray Dawson reported that Hezahunk (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed and Darragh Keenan reported that The Nail Gunner (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling.
