The Raceday Stewards interviewed S.P. Bird, rider of La Dame Blanche, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S. P. Bird was in breach of Reulation 10.3.g(excessive frequency) and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended S. P. Bird for three racedays
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Donal Kinsella, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Teddy O'Neill, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Donal Kinsella stated that his horses have been out of form and he could not provide any reason for the improvement. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
