At the request of the Stewards, R.P. Treacy, rider of Western Rambler, trained by Eoin Doyle, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was a little green and got in very close to one of the hurdles down the back and he then gave his mount time to recover and that the race had got away from him at that stage
The Stewards interviewed R.A. Doyle, rider of Jon Ess, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found R. A. Doyle in breach of Regulation 10.3 (g), excessive frequency. Having considered R. A. Doyles record in this regard the stewards suspended R. A. Doyle for two racedays
P. Merrigan, rider of Empire Escape trained by D.Broad, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount completed slowly
Under the provisions of Rule 90, the Stewards allowed Calibrator, trained by Eoin Griffin, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the error identified in the certification of vaccinations would be corrected in accordance with Rule 91 within the timeframe specified.
