The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident about two hundred yards from the finish involving Agartha, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced, and Angels Wrath, ridden by J.A. Heffernan, unplaced, where it appeared that Angels Wrath checked when trying to get through on the inside of Agartha who was holding the rails position
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, J.A. Heffernan stated that he anticipated that Agartha might run off the rails and he lined up his own mount for a possible gap but it did not materialise. D.P
McDonogh stated that there was no room for anybody to come through on his inner. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
J.A. Heffernan, rider of Angels Wrath, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had no luck in running
C.D. Hayes, rider of Star Girls Aalmal, trained by Henry de Bromhead, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount did not get a clear run in the closing stages of this race.
