She's a funny old lady and Darragh (O'Keeffe) was the key to her today, to be fair. We put the cheekpieces on her the last day and they just changed her jumping, she jumped so much slicker today. She has plenty of ability but it's just a matter of getting it out of her. I'm delighted to get it. The Stewards enquired into an incident on the turn for home involving Park Hind, ridden by K.M. Donoghue, Dalileo, ridden by S. Fenelon and Coconoir, ridden by C. Brassil, where it appeared that Coconoir and Dalileo both got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K. M. Donoghue stated that his mount dived for the rail despite his best efforts. S. Fenelon stated that he got a little tight on the rail. C. Brassil stated that he momentarily had to check. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise K. M. Donoghue to ride with more awareness in the future
The Stewards received a report from Mr. H. T. Hynes , Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Mr J.W. Reilly, rider of Alfieri, weighed in at 1.2 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. J. W. Reilly was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-95 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
