The Stewards interviewed P.K. Donovan, rider of Turndownthevolume, concerning his use of the whip in in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. P.K. Donovan stated that his mount raced lazy and he just lost count, but accepted he was in breach and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that P.K. Donovan was in breach of R 10.3 (g)(frequency) and having considered his record in this regard they suspended him for 2 racedays

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Presenting Cody, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be stiff post race.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards rated 0-109 Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each steeplechase won. Riders - Confined to Professional & Claiming Professional Riders who have not ridden more than 15 winners under any N.H. Rules from 2nd May, 2021 to 30th April, 2022 inclusive.
