The Raceday Stewards requested a report from James Joseph Mangan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Mahlers Cove, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge is a difficult individual to train and in an attempt to address this, he now trains the animal out of the field which he felt had contributed to the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.
