An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 furlong out when Engelbert (GB), placed second, ridden by Stefano Cherchi, interfered with Streak Lightning (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by James Sullivan, who in turn interfered with Violeta (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Cam Hardie.
Cherchi was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he switched left-handed when insufficiently clear of Streak Lightning (IRE) causing Sullivan to take a check, which resulted in Hardie also having to take a check.
Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that Tuscan (IRE), unplaced, missed the break.
