McMonagle, placed third, where it appeared they came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.F. Carroll stated that his mount changed legs and went left momentarily but was corrected immediately. B.M. Coen stated that his mount was hanging left all the way and he was trying to keep him straight
D. McMonagle stated that it got a little bit tight close to the line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action
