Quotes on Sunchart (GB)
I thought he would win everyday he ran over hurdles. Even that win today is still disappointing for him. There is a group race at Naas on the Flat and that's the plan for him now. He needs soft ground on the level. We are just running him rather than having him doing nothing at home. There is no big plans for him over hurdles. I'm not saying he won't run again over hurdles before Naas but there is no big plan. He is obviously not as good over hurdles. When we started him over hurdles we were thinking bigger than this. When he got beaten at Thurles we gave up on hurdles for a while. He runs terrible at the Curragh, he is bet before he comes out of the stalls. The handicapper is surely not going to mark him high because he isn't running to a high mark. Unless he improves there is no big future for him over hurdles. After Sunchart (GB) finished 1st at Wexford on Fri, 9th Aug 2024 2m Maiden Hurdle Good to Yielding

Quotes on Cristal Clere (IRE)
That's brilliant, I'm delighted. He was a little horse we bought to win a maiden in Belharbour but he went a different direction. We bought a couple of Flat ones to get Seanie (nephew) going. If you want an event pony they cost half a million and we bought him for 15 grand. He's after winning 45 grand now and putting the jockey on the board. Seanie said he was feeling the surface at Dundalk the last day and changing his legs. We didn't know how he'd go on the ground on Sunday, we were just hoping he would. He jumps hurdles and fences, so hopefully he'll rock on. He's a right little horse, we bought him at Newmarket last year at the horses-in-training sale — he hadn't run. When we brought him home we thought we had him for point-to-pointing and we schooled him over fences and all. When we put him up against the rest of the pointers, he was a bit on small side and I said if he wins we still won't get paid for him, so we'll get value for Seanie rather than go that way. These Flat men have it cushy, this fella doesn't do anything. We were off schooling this morning at 7am this morning with a load of horses. You just give this fella a few nuts and a pick of grass and away he goes, it's an easy game. I carried out the saddle for him today and if he rides him over hurdles I'll have to get a wheelbarrow to carry the saddle. Hopefully we'll run him over hurdles, he could be a right little horse for that. He could go to any of those (Flat) handicaps in the summer as well for expeAfter Cristal Clere (IRE) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Wed, 5th Apr 2023 1m 2f Flat Hcap Heavy

His form was good last year. He usually only got mugged by a very good horse and he's a better three-year-old than he was a two-year-old,. Hopefully he'll be back here in September! . Quotes on Layfayette (IRE)
I was disappointed in Naas, but he had to get some treatment on his back and he needed time off and just got stuffy. He blew up in Naas. I know that was over a mile and a-half which stretches him a bit, but he’s an older horse and takes a bit of work. He loves this place. He loves the long straight and this place and Naas suits him well. In Group 2's and Group 3's he’s very competitive. He’ll probably go for the mile and a half race on Champions Weekend in Leopardstown if there is an ease in the ground. Gary (Carroll) said that Helvic Dream gave him a great feel and moved well. We might try and stretch him out to a mile and a-half because later in the year, on the ground that he wants, there are not that many races over a mile and a-quarter. There horses are very hard to find, you don’t come across them too often for reasonable money. After Layfayette (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sun, 20th Aug 2023 1m 2f Flat Good

Quotes on Mashhoor (GB)
It's really very special when Tommy Dowd comes to you in the parade ring and says 'I'm more nervous now than I was on All-Ireland day'. I said 'ah come on, sure we don't have anything to do anymore — it's up to Ben now!'. In fairness to the horse, you have to say he has improved immensely. He picked up a little injury last year and I suppose it stood to him this year. He's been very straightforward this year and the races have come for him at the right time. There was no pace today and I said to Ben to let him roll along. He's a leader, he leads the string at home. I knew when they turned in that they weren't going to get to him because he wouldn't stop. He won over a mile-and-a-half last time. It was a great ride. It's great for a syndicate to rock up on Derby weekend and be competitive in a very competitive Group 3. You can see the enjoyment it gives people, racing has that. After Mashhoor (GB) finished 1st at Curragh on Sat, 1st Jul 2023 1m 2f Flat Good

Quotes on Aeronautic (IRE)
He won well. He won nicely in Dundalk the last day and it was an impressive performance today, he quickened up well and he's a progressive horse,. He was much straighter today and the rail was a help. I thought he quickened up well, they went a good even tempo and there was no hiding place. It's nice to have a nice horse for the Newtown Anner team. I suppose he's heading for stakes race now, or at least a good handicap. I think anything like that (ground) or better is fine for him. Quotes on Kortez Bay (IRE)
I'm delighted, I've always loved him,. I was surprised I was able to buy him because he's a half-brother to Lady Kaya (runner-up in the 1,000 Guineas for Lavery). I met (breeder) John O'Connor and I laughed and said to him there's not a chance I'm going to able to buy a New Bay out of Kayak. . He said he wouldn't be anyone's cup of tea but when I saw him all I could see was athlete. He was a raw horse. . I feel that's a bit of a monkey off my back getting him to win but he's actually needed all the time. He's just strengthened and strengthened mentally. . Robbie said he loved that ground. I don't know how much he'll go up, or if he'd get in, but I'm going to put him in the Jersey. If he gets in brilliant, if not it's no biggy and we'll find something else. . It might have been stupid running him at two but he learned. . I think the way he's hitting the line, now that he's strengthened up, he'll get a mile but at the moment we'll keep him at seven as he's relaxing through his races beautifully. After Kortez Bay (IRE) finished 1st at Fairyhouse on Fri, 7th Jun 2024 7f Flat Maiden Good

Quotes on Platoon (IRE)
He's a very straightforward horse and he's just taken time to come to hand. . He's been coming along nicely in the past couple of weeks and we felt this was a nice race to start him in. The trip is his absolute minimum. . Probably the best part of the race was the gallop out, Jack couldn't pull him up at the line. . He's a horse that will get further, he has a nice bit of class and he'll come on a lot physically. . There is a winners' race for him in September or we could look at something like the Listowel Stakes. The Diamond Stakes in Dundalk could also suit him over an extended ten furlongs. . He's a horse to look forward to for the back-end and I think he'll definitely make up into a stakes horse. After Platoon (IRE) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Thu, 22nd Aug 2024 1m Flat Maiden Good

Quotes on Spoken Truth (IRE)
I won this maiden with Harzand at the start of his career and this is a gorgeous, kind big horse who would like better ground. I love the way he came home over the last furlong as he only hit his stride. I'm thinking of running him in the Gallinule (Stakes, 1m2f, May) as it would be a logical way to go and that is his most likely next race. As the season progresses he will fill into that big body of his and it is early days in his career. We are very hopeful with him but time will tell. we have only had seven or eight runners this year and they've all run well but I've been waiting for a bit of better ground. Most of mine will appreciate better ground so I'm waiting for it.After Spoken Truth (IRE) finished 1st at Cork on Fri, 26th Apr 2024 1m 2f Flat Maiden Soft to Heavy

Quotes on Elizabeth Jane (IRE)
She was a bit sluggish from the gates and I just had to bide my time. She was a bit behind the bridle which was ideal on that ground. Before we turned in I gave her a squeeze and she was instantly into my hands and cut through them like a knife through butter. She was a bit idle in front but still quickened away from them and took plenty of pulling up which is always a good sign. She is a regally bred filly with a great attitude. She went through the ground which you wouldn't be sure of beforehand.
