Andrew Hogan suspended after Galway ride

Amateur rider Andrew Hogan was suspended by the stewards at Galway for dropping his hands in the closing stages and losing third place on Silver Jaro trained by his father Tom. The rider will be forced to miss 7 days racing.

Also in trouble at Galway was Sean Flanagan who was also given a 7 day suspension. His offence was for using his whip with excessive force and frequency aboard his winner Operation Houdini
