After race at Punchestown Fri, 3rd May, 2024 (1st)  Derek came back in and said there's not much point in instructions as he's a unique animal,. He doesn't make life easy but Derek has the trick to him. Early doors it wasn't great as Derek had to make a move to get him off the inside and get him travelling. I was very happy the whole way around until the third last and there was a bit of a panic when Lifetime Ambition went on. Once he got over the second last I was always fairly confident he was going to get him back. He's very well named, that's not the first occasion he's done that. He's just a horse that you have to hold his hand and bring him along, he's got a big engine. We were putting cheekpieces on trying to keep him in races and help him to travel but he needs to see everything, the more he sees the happier he is. We don't really need a bit in his mouth, it's just a bit of company and he'll keep going with them. As I said after Aintree to have a horse like him and be able to rock up to these festivals, Cheltenham, Aintree or Punchestown, with a horse with a chance of winning is very hard to come by. I don't think we'd ever replace him if we stepped him up to go back 'on the track' now. Emmet Mullins

After race at Aintree Thu, 11th Apr, 2024 (1st)  He’s got ability and Derek is good and persistent on him and gets everything out of him. We were thankful for the loose horses today as it meant he had a bit of company and he was able to stretch out and go away, he’s done it well in the finish. He takes his races very well, last season he ran at Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown so he has a great constitution. I think he’ll stay hunter chasing as it’s great to be able to come to these meetings and have a horse with a big chance. Fingers crossed he keeps doing the business. Emmet Mullins

After race at Naas Sat, 10th Feb, 2024 (1st)  Its On The Line isn't good for the heart but there’s loads of ability in there, it's just a matter of coaxing it out of him. He looked a sitting duck for the fast-finishing horse (Billaway), but picked up and went again. He’s a tough cookie and hopefully cheek pieces might help for the big day (at Cheltenham) the next day. After race at Punchestown Fri, 28th Apr, 2023 (1st)  He doesn't make life easy, but there is an engine in there somewhere,. Derek was great. We knew he can be a bit leery at times and I said to Derek bounce out and go forward. Derek said there was a loose horse at the third last and, once that passed him, he came back on the bridle. He just needs a bit of a lead, but he's a relentless stayer too. It's just trying to get it all to come together and it did today. It's brilliant for the college, Cistercian College, where I went to school and had great memories. It's special to be able to share that today with them. There is loads of ability there and it's just a matter of getting it out of him. He wouldn't do much in front on his own, but Derek was wise to Barry's moves. We gave him a sighter everywhere and it definitely told in the finish. He's only six and to be doing what he's doing in this field, he could rack up a few in this field but we'll see. Time will tell. After race at Cork Mon, 18th Apr, 2022 (1st)  that secures Charlie the series so it was great to be able to help him pull that off. He was a recent purchase and we bought him online at the ThoroughBid Sale (for £8,000 last month) and it was good to get a quick return. He was a Presenting and I felt he may have been waiting for good ground in the spring. He has a great step to him, covers a lot of ground when he is walking and has a real staying pedigree. He just needed to get a bit of confidence and I'd say the better ground will be a big help to him. He will keep going in these hunter chases for the next few months. Emmet Mullins
