Another big-field win from a Broomfield mare
Luke (son and jockey) gave her a good ride. She’s a lovely mare and jumped well. She’s had two quick runs and we’ll probably give her a break. She’s only five and we might stay hurdling next year. She has a lovely jumping pedigree and is from the family of Anibale Fly. She likes nice ground, will stay further and there is a mares’ Listed race in Killarney but that may come a bit quick.

'It means everything' - Walsh bags 'full set' with La Touche win
My lad galloped all the way to line and the minute he heard the other lad (Stealthy Tom) coming he went on again. That’s the full set of wins in all Punchestown's banks races now - I’ve won the other two and this (the La Touche) is the main one - it means everything to us. he stays going and we knew coming into it that the trip would suit him down to the ground.

Klassical Dream completes Punchestown hat-trick
Paul was so cool on him. He was out the back and the minute he got a bit of daylight he locked on and I thought wow this is it. It was a masterclass in riding again. I’m a bit worried now as going celebrating with Jo (Coleman, owner) is no simple task! We have good nights. I think we’ll bring him to Auteuil again. We had a good time there last year (finished second) and a weekend in Paris is never a bad thing. Asterion Forlonge ran a cracker and stayed on great at the end. I think hurdling is just too fast for Monkfish (which finished last) and he wants slower ground and bigger fences to maximise jumping.

Kilbeg collects hurdle for Honeyball
we’ve been very lucky here. We brought him here nice and early, got here on Monday. We weren’t sure if he was good enough but we felt that he’d run his race. Aidan gave him an absolute peach. He had to scrap a bit to get him out and once he got out he cut loose. We had quite a hard race at Newbury when finishing second and we thought we’d wait then until Punchestown. We love coming here and it’s a 0-145. It’s worked out well. We got him fresh and they have been very good to us here and we had a few canters on the course. It does horses good after a long season. I think the better ground was probably a help as well although he’s a heavy topped horse and it wouldn’t want to be any quicker than this.

Faultless Fabiolo ends novice season unbeaten
I was wondering about four fences out had Danny (Mullins, on Dysart Dynamo) stolen a march but Paul said the minute he pulled his lad out and said go, he just lit up underneath him. He was a bit ring rusty over the first few fences. He looks all over a two-miler. He can go up in trip and I’d have no problem going two and a half as he’s nice and relaxed. He’s improving all the time but the way he does things over two miles he may stay at that. Paul is all the time pulling him back to keep the lid on him. Dysart Dynamo doesn’t know when to give up and that might even be his downfall. It was great to see him getting up at Cheltenham, he got a horrendous fall but he got up shook himself and he’s been fine since.

Chasing Belle is left clear in the 'Close Brothers'
we thought the ground was drying out a bit on her and would have been happier if it were softer but we had a bit of luck. She seems to be progressing the whole time. I’d say right-handed suits her better although she was unlucky two days in Navan. We’ll probably give her a bit of a break. We may go back for another hurdle race as she is only 94 over hurdles but with the ground drying out we might just leave her off now.

Mullins continues his Punchestown plunder
it was a really good performance. Once again he pulled very hard but once Patrick got him down to gallop he picked up well. To run away from a nice field of bumper horses, that’s nice for Ronnie (Bartlett, joint owner with football agent David Manasseh) for next season.
