Tower has Mangan back in the big time at Fairyhouse
Former Aintree Grand National winning trainer Jimmy Mangan looks to have another high class horse on his hands after the J.P. McManus owned Spillane's Tower justified his big reputation with an impressive success in the Grade 1 WillowWarm Gold Cup at Fairyhouse. Sun 31st MarMake that 3 for Mullins and Townend with Tactical Move
With second market choice Flanking Maneuver departing at the first it was left for 1/2 chance Tactical Move to beat two rivals in Grade Three Bar One Racing 'Extra Places At Cheltenham' Directors Plate Novice Chase. This he duly achieved at Naas, without overly convincing with his fencing or the manner of his victory. Sun 10th MarTactical opens chasing account to give Mullins treble
A better jump at the last sealed things for Tactical Move as he opened his account over fences in the beginners chase at Gowran Park. Thu 25th JanMullins and Townend double up with Rockett
Nick Rockett justified his short price when running out a cosy success of the beginners chase at Fairyhouse, giving Willie Mullins and Paul Townend a double on the card. Mon 01st JanTactical Move gives Mullins and Townend their double

Gordon Elliott looks to have another nice prospect on his hands after Ard Abhainn stuck on well in the closing stages to land the K Club Hotel & Resort Flat Race at Punchestown. Sat 04th May
After race at Clonmel Thu, 14th Nov, 2019 (1st)
It was great to win a bumper with him and I don't think we're going to go for a winners' bumper with him. He'll go straight hurdling now and will go chasing then next season. It's not normally what we do but he missed last year and we only got to run him once. He is a horse I want to get out over fences sooner rather than later. We're trying to fit bumper horses from last year into hurdles and get them all going and get the season going.
